This year, AHEPA suffered a great loss in the passing of Past Supreme President Louis G. Manesiotis. Please help perpetuate Brother Louis’ legacy by making a special contribution in his name to foster academic excellence though our national scholarship program.

In 1990, members of the Coral Gables Chapter No. 490 were asked to donate a small test tube of blood to see if they would match the son of one of the members who was in need of a bone marrow transplant. It quickly became obvious that an even greater need existed and the AHEPA Bone Marrow Donor Registry was incorporated. The AHEPA Bone Marrow Donor Registry educates and recruits new potential bone marrow donors. It also coordinates the entire search process both nationally and internationally for patients in need of an unrelated donor.

Cooley's Anemia, also known as Thalassemia, is a fatal genetic blood disorder which affects people of Mediterranean descent. Today, in order to survive, children must receive blood transfusions every two weeks and receive painful drug injections via an infusion pump every night of their lives. For decades the AHEPA Cooley's Anemia Foundation has been working on a three-pronged attack to fight this fatal disorder. Funds have been raised to conduct screenings, to print and distribute educational materials and to support the research of leading hematologists and geneticists in the country. Please help us save these children!

The AHEPA Emergency Relief Fund was established in 2007 to raise vital funding for relief aid to the fire victims of the massive wildfires which devastated the countryside of Greece. Our community’s response was overwhelming and led AHEPA to keep the emergency relief fund open to assist victims of future natural disasters across the globe. This online form makes giving fast and easy. Please give generously. (ALL DONATIONS TO THIS FUND ARE 100% TAX DEDUCTIBLE)

In 1947 AHEPA saw the vital need of health care in Northern Greece and raised funds to build the AHEPA Hospital as a gift to the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The AHEPA Hospital has become one of the largest teaching hospitals in Greece and through your generous support will continue to train our next generation of doctors and nurses, as well as provide medical assistance to the community.

The AHEPA National Educational Foundation offers college scholarships to a wide variety of students, including traditional and non-traditional students; seminarians, including those entering Holy Cross Greek School of Theology; and high school seniors, college and post-graduate students who are looking to become tomorrow's leaders. Donations also go to preserve Hellenic or Classical Studies programs at the University level, and to fund educational programs such as "Journey to Greece" and Washington Internships have been sponsored by the Foundation.
